Brian Shiers, BA Kinesiology, UCLA-CMF

 Brian's education and experience are extensive.   In 1987 he earned a certificate from UCLA’s award-winning Fitness Instructor Program, and then went on to graduate cum laude with a degree in Kinesiology / Exercise Science from CSU, Northridge.   Shortly thereafter he became the Personal Training Director at the Toluca Lake Tennis Club & Sports Center, where he also teaches War & Peace, Los Angeles Magazine’s pick for the #1 class on the Sports Center schedule.



In addition to his over 25 years of martial arts training experience and nearly 2000 hours of guided meditation study, he is the first fitness professional in the world to become a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator from UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center.  Brian has also been certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, The National Strength & Conditioning Association, and The American Council on Exercise, and is a TRX-certified suspension trainer.
